The Board’s primary responsibility is to prudently manage extension services for farmers, with the aim of developing, growing, and regulating the rubber industry in Papua New Guinea.

Mission

Deliver all of the Board’s functions and exercising all of Board’s powers under the Rubber Industry Development Act to prudently promote the growth and development of the whole value chain

Vission

es collaboration, interaction, and participation., Collaborate to attract investment in the midstream and downstream value chains of rubber.

These aspirations are articulated in Vision 2050, which envisions a smart, healthy, and wise society for PNG by the year 2050. Vision 2050 is then translated into long-term strategic intervention programs outlined in the Development Strategic Plan (2010–2030).

These programs align with the principles of sustainable development as outlined in the National Strategy for Responsible Sustainable Development. Within the framework of the Medium-Term Development Plans (MTDP), sectoral intervention programs have been developed to support these goals.
